Abstract:
Professionalism is a position or job to have expertise from its officers, a
job called a profession cannot be done by people who are not trained, educated
and specially prepared in advance to do the job. Professional teachers are people
who are well educated and trained, and have rich experience in their fields. The
formulation of the problem in this study is how the professionalism of Islamic
Religious Education teachers in SMA 01 Sungai Ambawang, Kubu Raya
Regency, what factors are the supporters and obstacles to professionalism Islamic
Religious Education teacher at SMAN 01 Sungai Ambawang, Kubu Raya
Regency, What are the teacher's duties that support the professionalism of Islamic
Religious Education teachers at SMAN 01 Sungai Ambawang, Kubu Raya
Regency. While the purpose of this study was to find out how the professionalism
of Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMA 01 Sungai Ambawang, Kubu
Raya Regency, to find out the efforts of SMA Negeri 01 Sungai Ambawang to
improve teacher professionalism and to find out the factors that became residents
and inhibited the professionalism of PAI teachers.
In this study, the authors used data collection methods using qualitative
descriptive methods, the data collected through observation, interviews and
documentation, while the subjects in this study were PAI teachers and school
principals who were used as research objects.
The results of the study indicate that PAI teachers are not yet professional,
because they have not been able to master the class during the learning process so
that it can interfere with the comfort of other students who are studying. Then the
factors that can improve teacher professionalism are facilities and infrastructure,
while the inhibiting factors for PAI teacher professionalism are lack of
motivation, limited funds and then incomplete facilities and infrastructure and
inadequate books. Factors that can influence teachers in improving the quality of
their professionalism include external and internal factors for students, the
environment, and infrastructure.
