This study seeks to address two questions. First, to determine how well class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Boyan Tanjung can master vocabulary with the use of the Rosetta Stone application. Second, to describe how the Rosetta Stone program improved the learning results of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Boyan Tanjung in terms of vocabulary mastery.
Classroom action research techniques are used in this study. The pre-test and post-test were the research tools utilized. Assessment sheets are used to gather test results and grades in order to enhance students' comprehension of the Rosetta Stone program. 26 pupils from SMP Negeri 1 Boyan Tanjung's class VII A provided the data.
The research results show that the average student score before using the Rosetta Stone application (pre-test) was 51.50 and the average student score after using the Rosetta Stone application (post-test) was 85.19 from the goal achievement criteria (KKTP), namely 61-80% are declared complete and do not need remediation.
The use of the Rosetta Stone application significantly increased the knowledge mastery of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Boyan Tanjung from 51.50 to 85.19 (61-80% increase).
