dc.description.abstract MARYATI, “The Effect of Wordwall Learning Media on English Vocabulary Mastery at 7 th Grade Students of Junior High School”. Thesis (S1) English Tadris Study Program. Teacher Training and Tarbiyah Faculty. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Pontianak, 2025. The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the use of Wordwall learning media in improving English vocabulary mastery at 7 th grade junior high school students. (2) to investigate the effect of the Wordwall learning media on students' English vocabulary mastery. The focus of this study is to determine whether the use of interactive and game-based digital media such as Wordwall can significantly improve vocabulary mastery at 7 th grade students in a junior high school environment. This study uses a pre-experimental design with one pre-test and post-test group. The sample consists of 30 at 7 th grade students from one class at SMP Mujahidin. Data were collected through vocabulary tests conducted before and after the intervention. The intervention involved the use of Wordwall integrated into classroom activities over several sessions. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and a paired t-test to determine the significance of differences between pre-test and post-test results using SPSS version 29. The results of the data analysis showed that the interactive learning of the Wordwall application applied to the experimental class obtained an N-Gain score of 0.58, which is classified as quite effective. The results of this study showed a significant increase in students' vocabulary mastery after using the Wordwall media. These results are further supported by the paired sample t-test, which showed a sig (2-tailed) value < 0.05, meaning the zero hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The conclusion is that the use of the Wordwall application is effective in improving students' vocabulary in the 7th grade class at SMP Mujahidin Pontianak. en_US
