Abstract

This study explores the leadership of Ratu Jaintan in the Sukadana Kingdom of Landak from a socio-economic historical perspective. Using historical methods and an interdisciplinary approach, this research involves the analysis of historical, social, and economic factors. The research process includes collecting historical information, interpreting facts, and presenting them in written form. Primary data sources include manuscripts, documents, artifacts, and oral traditions, gathered through library studies, previous research, and fieldwork. Data analysis uses deduction, induction, and comparison techniques, with quantitative data as supporting evidence. The findings reveal that Ratu Jaintan played a key role in shaping the social and economic life of the Landak and Sukadana Kingdoms. She promoted free trade, facilitated international trade relations, and regulated the exploitation of natural resources such as gold and silver, while also fostering agriculture. These efforts ensured the kingdom's economic stability and growth, alongside maintaining social and cultural harmony.
